The production at NORDENIA HUNGARY Kft. started in December, 1993. The market leader flexible packaging producer was the first established gate to the Central and Eastern Europe for the German based international company, NORDENIA INTERNATIONAL AG; as the headquarters’ strategic orientation is to follow customers to their regions of activity. After launching its first activities in Eastern Europe more then ten years ago, NORDENIA has been a partner in the region, offering innovative products and outstanding quality, based on the transfer of know-how that takes place within the Group.

Since 1993, the Hungarian company developed fast and today reaches approximately a 20% market share in the Hungarian flexible packaging market.

The modern technology – one mono- and three co-extrusion facilities, four flexo printing machines, two laminators, five bag making machines and four slitting machines – is used in the production of more than 13,000 tons of film in Hungary, both for local market needs and for export to 14 other countries. The company, whose main customers can be found in the consumer goods industry, have established innovative products on the Central and Eastern European markets in recent years. Henkel, Unilever and Nestle, for example, or on local level Kométa, Délhús, Instantina Kft. – just mentioning some of them - are among the company's leading customers.

NORDENIA HUNGARY is located in Szada, approximately 25 kilometers northeast of Budapest. This company is the biggest industrial employer in Szada and supports significantly the local community with workplaces and its input to the budget.

The company nowadays has an additional important function regarding NORDENIA activities in Central and Eastern Europe. Because of the region’s market specifics NORDENIA HUNGARY Kft., NORDENIA POLSKA S.p. z.o.o (Poland) and ZAO NORDENIA SLAVNIKA (Russia) work in tight cooperation under the direction of the Hungarian company.
